Setting up a wiki Nov. 18th, 2006 @ 01:23 pm

Setting up a wiki can be really frustrating, as I know from personal experience, but PmWiki is an excellent wiki software that is not beyond someone with very little PHP experience/knowledge. If you get stuck, you can sign up to their mailing list for help and you often get very quick responses to your questions. It is also is available with a number of user-developed skins and can be customized within those skins as you can see in my own wiki - Paint to Pixel Studio

Text to Song Jan. 9th, 2006 @ 02:27 am

this site has a flash device that takes whatever you type from a databse of songs - and it "sings" what you wrote back to you, using a stored clip archive. Crazy.

Hardware Sites Dec. 16th, 2005 @ 05:13 pm
Not software or development related, however some sites that you might look into for multimedia related hardware.

NCIX (Vancouver-based online retailer)

Bigfoot Computers (Toronto-based computer retailer, dealing with "Quiet Computing")

Definitely look to these two sites when looking to build or modify a system!
